We are babysitting my brother's collie. He is so well trained and quite a nice fellow to have around. One problem - he has not eaten anything since coming to our house about 24 hours ago. My brother said he liked and ate Purina Pro Plan, Lamb and Rice. I went to several stores this morning looking for it. And could not find it. And came home with Purina One, Lamb and Rice. He would not eat it. So went out again and bought Purina Pro Plan, Lamb and Rice. EXCEPT - it wasn't till I got home I saw we bought Puppy version. The dog is 5 years old. OOPS! The dog will not eat Puppy version of Purina Pro Plan.
Should I be concerned? We also bought doggy treats which he has not trouble eating but I am not going to give him a steady diet of treats. He is drinking water and tonight when we were out he dragged all the trash from the kitchen trash can all over the floor. Not sure if he ate anything - there were onions and wrappers from chicken sandwiches(he didn't actually eat the wrappers).
He has had several unsettling days and seems to be doing a good job getting adjusted to living here in a new house/atmosphere/people. So I am not sure if I am worrying needlessly.
