I found out some years ago that I had to read labels carefully on bags of "baby" carrots. I discovered that they used to cut down deformed regular carrots to baby size. Now they actually grow baby carrots.
I bought a bag of baby carrots at Costco recently, and I thought some looked like real baby carrots and some looked like they'd been pared down from larger carrots. One clue was that some looked very stubby on both ends. Real baby carrots get more slender on the tips just like big carrots.
Has anyone noticed this?
