On the east coast we are expected to have a massive rain storm tomorrow but temperatures will be mild.

It's 37 outside my house today located about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.  Not bad.  Most of the "snow storm" (3 inches) we received is almost a memory.  Tomorrow they claim 51, which is OK by me.  Just wish we get some sun.

In SoCal these past few days have been cold in the LA area, we're not used to 50 degree weather during the day and dropping in the 30's at night.  The celebrities at the Golden Globes walking the Red Carpet in their evening gowns yesterday must have been freezing with that wind blowing, brrr !

National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for NE New Mexico.

And people think it's  warm here.

Weathermen predicted 8-10" of snow last night and today. Schools and everything else decided to close for the day! When I went out about 9:30 AM, the streets were snowy of course, but not icy since the temperature is still in the mid-30's.

While driving, I heard on the Weather Channel that only 3-5" of snow is anticipated for SE Nebraska! That makes more sense. Another day out of school and businesses closed for naught.

Seems our fearless leaders forgot about the fun of playing in the snow on the way home from school, then having hot chocolate by the fireplace! It's all part of living in a state with winter weather and certainly beats sitting at a computer playing a game. Kids need to get outside in the fresh air for those healthy rosy cheecks and squeels of delight when having an impromptu snowball fight or building a fort or snowman!  Smiley Wink

@Kachina624

Got a decent amount of snow in Paradise Hills overnight.  It's the wind that's so brutal.  Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Here in the deep South, it's 53 now, expecting heavy rain, thunderstorms and possibility of tornados later tonight.

Temps 70 tomorrow, but still stormy.

It is cold but I do not care for the humidity of the Summer.

I guess it is because of some health issues the humidity is uncomfortable.

I know that not all share my opinion but everyone is allowed to feel how they do.

It happens this time of year-- Winter.

@SoCal Bred  I LOVE it and am going to enjoy it while it lasts. I can't get enough of sweater/jacket weather. We also get to turn on our gas fireplace which doesn't happen often.

@LuvSoCal - Oh, I agree, it's not too often temps get this low in SoCal, I have a electtric Dura Flame Fireplace Insert that fits so perfect in our fireplace with on/off crackling sound that I purchased about 10 years ago from the Q that I just love, it gives just enough heat and love the ambience it gives the room, it's only used maybe a few times at most during the so called winter months we have.
