@Kachina624

Forecast for today: Cold, dry, windy.  We'll be in the 20s most of the day.  Will feel much colder with that wind...

Current temperature is 19 degrees.  Feels like 6.

 We're in a winter wonderland this morning! Everything is so quiet and beautiful. I didn't even notice the cold when taking my walk since the scenery was gorgeous and silent.  LOL

All that started here in the PNW, I'm afraid and more heading across the country. Right now there are blizzard warnings in our mountains with feet of snow falling---there was a wind gust of 105 mph at one of the ridges in our mountains early this morning--it was raining buckets yesterday and last night and now, where I am NE of Seattle, the wind is howling too. Maybe some lowland snow  in the next few days as well as temps in the upper 20's to low 30's!!! Gird your loins!!!

@Kachina624 wow that's really cold. I don't blame the dogs for wondering what's going on. Hope it has passed and that it is less cold.

We are getting a rain storm and what sounds like a hurricane in the winter. it's raining now supposed to peak overnight here in the Philly area. Not looking forward to having to go out in this later today.

Hope everyone stays safe.

Re: Baby It's Cold Outside

[ Edited ]

Yesterday we had very cold howling winds near 60mph all day. Wind chills in the teens, but temps around 32. No moisture accumulated here in West Texas.

Today is sunny and 44 with a windchill of 38. The winds are not nearly as bad today.

We will see a warm up, and then more bitter cold starting Sunday with temps in single digits.

@Kachina624 , loved your picture! A few hours ago my friend texted to say she was tucking her horses into their stalls tonight due to the vicious wind we've had all day!

I live in central PA. It was mostly in the upper 30s here but the fierce wind made it feel frigid. Three of 4 of us on that text conversation lost power for a while. It sounded like a freight train outside, that's how much the wind was howling.  Honestly, it was scary and unnerving!

@Kalli.  Time to bring out the horse blankets.

My sister, West of Philly, said she lost power, wind was howling and rain coming down by bucketsfull.

Imagine if it was snow!
