Can someone tell me what religion does a "dedication" versus a "baptism" or "christening." I'm asking because a friend became a grandmother and mentioned that her religion doesn't do baptism or christening, but instead does a dedication. I did not have the chance to ask her about it and now I am curious. I am going to presume that "dedication" means you dedicate the child to God (and I'm sure someone will tell me if that's wrong!), but what religion is this? This is a new term to me. Thank you all for your help!!!!!!
