BOSE on HSN this morning!

Just saw Bose products on HSN-being advertised as their launch on HSN - another vendor gone from QVC....

QVC doesn't show electronics often enough and I can see way Bose, or any other company, would prefer a network that shows all electronics on a very regular basis. QVC obviously is more into other products and I would not be surprised to see other electronic vendors moving where they get more on air time on a regular basis, and without it having to be a TSV.

there are still many Bose wave systems on the Q.....so I guess they haven't left...I went over to HSN to listen to the video....there is a different man as the vendor...prices are about the same....

I've seen HP offer computers on both networks. Could Bose be working both sides of the fence?

While they may still carry Bose, big difference in having them, but without presentations. Ho many times have we heard regular QVC callers say: "I was turning the channel and I saw you offering XYZ, and I have been waiting to order it"? We know they have been available by seeing them online, but maybe the caller didn't until they saw the Presentation. Advertising sells and if it didn't? It would all disappear.

John, I often see Bose wave music systems advertised in magazines and frankly didn't know much about them until my husband bought me one. Of course, he was an audiophile who had Bose speakers and elaborate stereo systems. It makes sense to advertise on TV and work both stations to get the word out.

HSN also sells Dyson vacuums.

Obviously, Bose and Dyson have contracts with BOTH places.

I sure don't know anything about any vendors contractual obligations, but I have heard a lot of hosts say this about some Major Companies products. "This model made exclusively for XYZ", so that might be part of how these companies get their contracts with more than 1 TV Network.
