I went out to look at about 11:50 Eastern time.
I had a difficult time finding it.
The stars were more spectacular than the moon I thought.
It was the farthest away moon I've ever seen so it looked unusually small or just like a large muddy orange star.
Not at all the way its been talked about on the news.
It is a very clear night also.
The most incredible moon I've ever seen was last year.
I was driving and this moon filled the sky and was a deep bright orange. I've never seen a moon that big!
I don't remember it being in the winter time and I don't remember people talking about it as much. I wonder what kind that was. It was
so beautiful.

Saw it. It was interesting, but I have seen them more spectacular than this one. But it's still a neat event! WOW was it cold out there too!

Well, then around 7am, after my cat woke me up!, there was a huge white/yellow light shining through the window-it was the moon!
Even around 2am it had changed from a very small muddy orange ball at 11:50 to a much bigger white moon with the edge of it with a smudge. So it did change a lot!
But yeah, like @Sooner said, it wasn't the most spectacular moon event I've ever seen.
Maybe at different times or different states it was the big blood orange huge moon they talked about and as amazing as @SharkE's picture!
I kept looking for something like that.

Where was the blood red moon??? I had the same experience as the other posters. My expectation was much greater than the event.

Thanks for sharing these @LTT1, especially with Mr Kitty! The second one is reflective of what I saw, but the last one was what I was hoping to see. I'll check out this event next time around. I am always happy to be in nature and looking at the sky, it never fails to impress no matter what colors are happening. Also love that it felt like a community event, knowing that others were also searching the sky at the same time.

Where I am, it was like an apricot in the sky, and I watched the eclipse become total. Brrrr.
