I picked up The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks off a sale table at a grocery store one morning.

Went home and read it nonstop from cover to cover.  Finished it in the middle of the night and turned right back to page one and re-read it again. 

I feel guilty saying it's my number one, favorite story because the content is just so heartbreaking, almost unbelievable and I can't even think of a third word to describe it properly. 

The movie didn't do the book justice, imho.

Thank you!  Like several others mentioned, I too love History!  Funny thing it wasn't my favorite subject in school though.
