I took a quick look at Cosby's new law firm, Quinn Emmanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, it shows just under 700 associates, partners, and at-counsels. I'm sure that is what was being referenced. It is unimaginable that one person would have 700 attorneys. Just imagine THAT chaos!

@IamMrsG I'm okay with Goria making even an exagerrated claim in this case. It couldn't hurt the vast wrongs done to many females over time. I think others are out there who haven't come forward yet either. A friend of mine almost got caught up in his disgusting caper. She worked at an Art Gallery where celeb's come in and purchase art. She flirtingly asked her out to dinner and over to his place. She refused him and told him he was a married man. He didn't like her reply and walked out of the Gallery.

In the interest of accuracy, this article was written on October 20 and is about him changing law firms. Gloria Allred's comment was hyperbole.

Yet she repeated this on television yesterday and let others know they could look it up. A total of 700 is rather excessive in my opinion. Exactly, what is he trying to get away with? A crime? 700!

I'm not claiming she didn't say it. I am saying that the article from October says he changed law firms. Obviously the new firm is huge, but Allred's comment was/is made in exaggeration.

Just did a quick Google search saying,

In October, Cosby fired lawyer Marty Singer &

hired the law firm of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart and Sullivan.

THAT'S where she got the "700" number.

Since that report, Christopher Tayback has been named lead attorney.

I like Gloria Allred, but it's stuff like that which discredits her actions.

That's what I heard Ms Allred say last night--he hired a law firm that employs 700 attorneys. She also said the women she represents understand what will be ahead for them knowing everything from their past will be dredged up. I hope they're strong.

I *think* California has laws to protect rape victims from being portrayed as loose women. I don't know how far that extends, though.
