I was there on Saturday too.  I have a friend that I meet in NYC every year.  We stay in different areas, eat at new restaurants, see the sights, walk around..... oh and check out new bars, of course.  

 

She needed make up and skin care so we were at the Elizabeth Arden counter.  I sat and rested while she stocked up on everything.  We had walked from the Upper West Side.  She got some great deals too.

 

We had no idea about a big sale.   If we had, we would have spent more time in there and yes, it was packed!!!

I agree, the Dillard's sales have become a non-event.  Being a bargain shopper and not really needing anything I used to enjoy the sales there.  Now I can buy it for less many other places.  When I do find something I need to search for an employee to ring me up.
