All of our numbers- including MIL's, and all our cellphones are registerd at DNCL and the calls are getting worse on all devices.  A couple weeks ago I even checked everything at DNCL and they're all still registered- got a confirmation email back..

What a joke DNCL is, how all these worthless people are getting by with all these scams and etc. is beyond me..

@Suziepeach   You are correct.   Do not call list does not work.   I love wasting their time is why I mess with them.  They get really mad when they realize you have wasted their time.   I tell them how does it feel??????  If I dial *67 they cannot see my number.   They think they are smarter then us but most people are aware of this.

Missed you Smokey!

Our call immdiatly dropped 90%, the rest I hit the block button and they are blocked forever.

I have call blocking through my cable co.  I do block most but this number I just posted, I have been playing games with them and then I tell them you scammer, how dare you tryto steal my money.  Try getting a real job.  Beware the language theythrow back is not good. I try to let them think they have a sale and then boom!  Throw it in their face.

It's been discussed here many times but bears repeating.

Don't answer the Calls! Although it might make you feel good to "play games with them", all it really does is confirm to them they have a live number. You will get more and more calls.

Why waste your time?

@Suziepeach   Every now and then it feels good to let it out!  LOL   I even yelled at United Healthcare and told them I did not want anymore health assessment calls and if they continue to bug me, I will see them in court, as I will file harrasment charges.  Since when is it the Insurance company's job to do a health assessment?  I told them keep it up and I will change my number and not give it to them.

Years ago I think I heard that any call using the "920" area code is suspect.

Re: BEWARE SCAMMING PHONE CALLS GETTING WORSE

I get my share of scammers but also credit card interest calls, local (statewide) calls for police widows and charities. I do like most of you, I don't answer, let it ring and they seldom leave a message. I know some charities use their money very efficiently but others not so much. If I do answer, I usually get sucked into them. The Indians...they always call me about the old men and women being cold and hungry, that gets to me. Cancer and heart, can't refuse them. I'd be destitute if I gave all the time so ignoring the ring of the phone is best. As you can see, I'm very conflicted about this...

Yep sometimes you just gotta get it out your system!!  I think when I am filled up with them again, I'll speak in my own language again.  Oh in that last post, I put a word I ditn't know would be starred out, LOL ..  it wasn't bad...

@wishmoon  I am sorry to read that you are sometimes taken in by these scam calls.  Most of the calls for charities are not legit.  If you feel like giving, tell them to send you written information about the charity.  Then if you ever receive any written information (you probably won't because it is a scam) look up the charity and see how much is actually used to help people and how much is used for the CEO's salary.  Please don't get taken in by these people again.

That's kind of silly.  But I guess if you have the time and you enjoy making others angry, then go for it.  But then you're being just as bad as they are so you really shouldn't complain.

Re: BEWARE SCAMMING PHONE CALLS GETTING WORSE

Definitely program all your contacts into your cell phone so you know exactly who is calling.  We haven't had a landline in years.

All my contacts have their own ringtone, too, so that I don't have to get to my phone if I only hear the standard ringtone.

Even any temporary contact such as a mammogram clinic or a specialist doctor - add them to your contact list and once your visit is complete just removed them.

Report any scam/spam calls to text 7726.

The Hiya app was reported on our news, too, to help with these calls.

I usually do not get a voicemail being left but the last one said it was the IRS to let me know my identity was stolen.   Ok......

DH has had IRS arrest warrant voicemail on his phone.  I baked a cake with a file in it to aid in his escape. ROTFL!
