I have been doing massive research on this the last few weeks. I know there have been other posts on this, but this is what I found to be going on right now. I have stopped answering all calls from Ins . companies (health care) Do not answer these calls, if they need to reach you they will leave a message. If you are not sure, call the number on the back of your card. I have also blocked all emails. I called them and told them, I will not respond to any of their calls or emails.
There are massive calls coming from India, Jamica and other countries. They come up on the caller ID as even to be located in your area. I have received calls from MO, Calif. New York etc.
They claim to be IRS, a Pharmacy,You have won a prize, Your Ins co. Computer techs from Windows and or Microsoft. and others. You can do a google search on the phone number and a lot of time you will see it is a scammer.
If you are not sure who it is ---do not answer. If you answer do not give out any information. Most important let No one in your computer. There are scammers working with Mcafee. Please be careful, and I hope this information helps someone.

Here is more information: Health Ins companies are asking for you to take health assesments over the phone? I told them , that is between me and my Dr. NOT YOU. I told them with all these scammers no one should have to answer these questions over the phone.
Here is a number that is being used alot 314-666-9790. If you google this number , you will see that this number has been being used in many ways and for a long time. They have called here at least 60 times since my hubby passed asking for him. Cable says they have no way to stop it.

Ballet Babe: I keep my landline just for emergencies. However I've been hearing that very soon cell phones will have our house location available to emergency personnel. Which would be a good thing. Then, I wouldn't need a land line at all. .............Btw, are you a ballerina? It's a beautiful art. I often run across beautiful ballerina paintings.

@BalletBabe "There are scammers working with Mcafee." Where did you read this? If true, it would be a real scandal.
I don't get any of those calls because I have the NomoRobo service. It's free and works like a charm. In the last six mmonth I've only had a handful of robo calls, and it's always the recording offering to reduce the interest rate on all your credit cards.

It's been discussed here many times but bears repeating.
Don't answer the Calls! Although it might make you feel good to "play games with them", all it really does is confirm to them they have a live number. You will get more and more calls.
Why waste your time?
