God no. That's a good way to get yourself conned. And anyone who resorts to calculated murder as a solution to a problem is a complete loser.

No desire to write to anyone in prison. But, then, I have no family members in prison.

@Johnnyeager  The OP asked a specific question-has anyone ever written to somebody in prison.

While nobody was forced to respond, it was an open question with the pull being Betty Broderick.

I do not see anyone "demanding" an answer.

If the OP sincerely wanted to know any answers, she would have responded.  It's only polite to acknowledge an answer when one asks a question. Either here or in RL.

Curiosity regarding her question was enforced by using Betty Broderick; had it been a generic question some responses would have been different.

I'm thinking of writing to Betty..................

@catlover

I wrote on another thread about my grueling 2 hour long phone conversation with her ..  before the murders.   My take on it was that not only was she angry and hysterical, but also mentally unstable.

IMO, if I were to write to her, I'd NEVER use my real return address.  Maybe not even my accurate name. Anyone you know have a PO box where you could use the c/o address line?

It's quite unlikely that she'll ever get out of prison, but why risk her having your home address?  People escape from prison all the time, although most are caught pretty quickly.   If by some crazy chance she managed to escape temporarily, her first action might be to contact or visit "sympathetic" people.   Stranger things have happened.

While I do sympathize with her and think her strict upbringing led to emotional issues, she diod what she did.  Can't imagine even wanting to write to anybody in prison

@Pook

If the person was family, or someone close to you, you might, regardless of what they were prosecuted for.  Writing to a total stranger is something else entirely.
