I wish I had seen this. I've always liked Bette M also. I loved her in that movie that was kind of, sort of, fashioned after a Janis Joplin-type performer. I also love, to this day, the title song - 'The Rose'. That's one beautiful song.

I remember so many years ago seeing her specials on tv (perhaps it was on a premium channel such as HBO?) where she would do an entire stage act with costumes (I particularly remember the mermaid one in the wheelchair) and do all of her songs.
