Get ready for it.................
John Denver and The Muppets. Yes! I said it ![]()
I love all the other choices others have made, but the John Denver/Muppets Christmas album is a must in our house. I bought it for my daughter when she was little, she loved the muppets and I loved John Denver. It's considered a classic now.

I love the traditional Christmas carols sung by the singers from the 40s-60s. I'll add to them Andrea Bocelli, (we are seeing him Sunday) Alfie Boe, Josh Groban and Katherine Jenkins.
I cannot stand the modern takes of what were once beautiful, melodious songs. (I know, bah humbug)

I agree with Lulu. I only like the voices I grew up with. I don't care for the modern spin on them
I do like carol when sung by a traditional choir, particularly from the UK

I prefer orchestras or instrumental groups or chorale type Christmas music (with a "few" exceptions). . I'm not much for solo artists period and some of their Christmas songs I've heard do nothing to change that.

My very favorites are the Carpenters!!! She had such a lovely, clear voice!! Next would be Johnny Mathis and Bing Crosby!

WOW ! Thanks for all the other names added to the list ! How could I have forgotten Dean Martin ( he and my dad could have been brothers--striking resemblance ).
Totally forgot about groups. Found Christmas albums by the Three Tenors and the Vienna Choir hidden in the stack to be organized someday soon!
Have a melodious holiday, one and all !

I agree with a lot of the ones already mentioned, especially the older ones. I am not a fan of remakes as the originals are often the best.
To that list I would add Randy Owen.

There's a new (to me) singer who has recently appeared on country music award shows.
Brett Something? He's good, he sounds a lot like Sinatra. Not that there will ever be another Sinatra...
