Am in western WA and hummers are year round here---I took a video of a hummer taking a bath in my fountain that is shaped like an urn and is bright red!! Also one day as I was putting up a fresh feeder of liquid, some spilled on my hand and a hummer flew next to my hand and got a few licks in !!!  Gotta be good luck, right???

Beautiful little bird.  If I had access to my old computer's HDD, I'd have some beautiful photos as well.  I spent a summer obsessed with photographing hummingbirds.  I have some great photos.  Some intentional and some were pure luck.

Wow, @Pezzie ,  at first I didn't realize that those deep purple spatula-shaped extensions were part of its tail feathers--  amazing!

He's like a beautiful little jewel...
