I don't see that the father did anything wrong.
At least he had enough class to not have s * x with the girl and I imagine that most people would want to know if their fiancee is a prostitute. I would think the son needs to know.

Agree! I think the Son has "problems", probably suffering from Oedipus Complex from his infancy! Apparently he couldn't handle The Truth (that his fiancé was an escort, or that his Father was still "sociable")!!
His Dad (bless his heart) tried to do the right thing... I can't fault him for that!

I think the father did the right thing. The son suing is ridiculous. How could he think his life would be better not knowing. It probably was only a matter of time before she was found out.

I hope that dad isn't still married to his son's mom ..talk about awkward!

Were I the dad, I would probably have told future daughter in law that I would give her two weeks to come clean with the husband to be or I would have no choice but to tell him myself.

I think the father should have insisted that the girl tell his son what she was doing, before he told him she should have told on her self. If she chose not to tell then the Dad did the right thing.

Dear old Pops should give his working DIL a choice, you tell him or I will........

I agree. He did the right think on all counts and the son needs to get over the possibility that maybe he just has lousy judgement.

Funny story. People do the darndest things.

This is kind of like the scenario brought up occasionally on these boards, "Do you tell your best friend that her/his spouse is cheating on him/her?" The response usually is not to tell them because they might already know about it, and you could end up being the villain. Or that it's no one's business anyway.
In this case, it involves a family member, but is it any different? Maybe the son knew about his fiancee but agreed with her to keep it quiet? Reason: maybe he doesn't care, maybe they want the extra money...who knows? I wonder if she told him whether or not his son knew.
For what it's worth, I'd tell the son.
