They are predicting 105 degrees today here in the Sacramento Valley. We will be in the 90s to over 100 well into September, even early October. Our fall is short and the winter brings the rain. As long as no one is flooded, I welcome the rain. Please no big fires this year.

For those of us whom Autumn is our favorite season, I was out on my deck this morning and I  could hear some of the gease over in the pond at the golf course flying around in circles talking to each other. Nexted they will be flying over my house. It's  the first sign of Autumn.

When I can't hear birds chirping in the morning then I know fall is coming...but that hasn't happened just yet.

Well, that would depend on where you live, @sweetee2 .  There are almost 2 more months until the official start of Autumn, and where I live it won't begin to cool down until November.  We can't expect even mildly cold weather until December - and that's when the leaves fall around here, lol.  So autumn is definitely not in the air around here.  (and since I hate the short, dark days of winter, I couldn't be happier)

I'm so glad to hear that I am not the only one looking forward to fall and winter!  I dread summer...the heat and humidity just saps my energy.  Some people hibernate in the winter, but I hibernate in the summer.
