Wow! I had not heard this!  How horrible!

 

ETA: I think this could be one of those things that by getting into the news (and often enough) could encourage copycats in other areas.

Specifically, the police are saying do not open any suspicious or unexpected packages and to call 911 instead.

If you are expecting a package, be cautious.

Geez......I get packages delivered all the time.  I never thought about not picking them up and bringing them in.   Cat Sad

The news report we heard said two victims were African-American, one is Hispanic.

 

EDIT:  They believe they are linked.

The police here are reporting that these packages were wrapped and were not delivered by any carriers like the USPS or UPS. They are calling them "suspicious" packages, not just any package.

Also...these packages weren’t expected deliveries. The homeowners

were not notified there were packages on their doorstep.
