Aunts

Are you close with yours? Or are your nieces and nephews close with you?

I have never been close to my aunts or uncles, and didn't even know of some of their existence until their funerals. The others, I didn't really feel comfortable around and never really knew them other than a visit, here and there.

My nieces and nephews know me and really like to spend time with me. I honestly don't get why they think spending a Saturday night with me is more fun than going out to a bar or something.
I am very happy they do enjoy my company, but just don't get it...the last thing I would have wanted to do in my 20's and 30's was to spend time with my old (43) aunt.
