Attention nurses..Benicar?

any nurses/doctors out there...my husband just started on Benicar (plain) 20 mg daily..he's complaining of really painful foot/ankle cramping that he's never had before. He's having a hard time sleeping tonight because of it. He'll call the doctor in the morning but just curious if you can tell me why it would cause this? I worked years ago in Cardiology & I remember some of the docs there telling patients to eat one banana a day w/Benicar but don't remember why...thoughts??? thanks ladiesSmiley Happy
