The roses looked like varieties of David Aistin English roses.
I have 3 in my garden right now...just added a new white one this year.
They are "old fashioned", have a wonderful scent and bloom on shrubs from June-September or even October!
Plus they are hardy and vigorous too!

I thought everything (we saw) about the church was gorgeous. The bride and her entourage of pages and flower girls were out of a picture book.
I know! Everything about the wedding except maybe the haggis they served seems like the dream wedding!!
Just Googled haggis...ewwwww...i'd have to spit it out in one of their expensive napkins!!

Beautiful flowers and gorgeous wedding. Everything as it should be done.
I hope this thread fares better than the others.

I tried haggis when I was in Edinburgh, Scotland. I figured I needed to try it when I was there. When in Edinburgh...
It actually was good. You never know until you try it!
I also went into one of the big Scottish department stores and
there was a guy in a tux handing out samples of Scotch whiskey!
When the bus stopped at a bus rest stop, they were also handing out samples of Scotch and other types of Scottish spirits! It was a fun trip!

I love Edinburgh and was just thinking about a return trip.....
I too have tried the haggis and wasn't so much a fan of it!!
I stayed at the most beautiful hotel in Edinburgh called the Scotsman--like the newspaper!! My room had a sauna in it!!

Edinburgh was cloudy and grey, but was so beautiful! I so enjoyed all of the lush, green grass and seeing all of the sheep!
I would love to return to see the big military Tattoo!

Thanks, Swissguy, those flowers are absolutely ethereal and must have so enhanced the mood of the wedding!

The flowers were beautiful and looked very British. Of course they are a family of professional party planners so I would expect the best.

@Tinkrbl44 They appear to be old-fashioned heritage roses in typically soft delicate colors.
