At what age did you learn how to swim?

And at what age did your kids/grands learn?

I was three when learned how to swim and I spent my entire childhood in the water (lakes, pools, the ocean, etc.)

I did not, however, learn how to ride a bike until I was 8. {#emotions_dlg.scared}

I understand having a fear of water (especially at night or when you can't see the bottom) but I am surprised how many people make it to adulthood without being able to swim.
