Just thinking (again). I'm The Thinker (Rodin)
Anyway, Just thinking that clear back packs should contain school items.....pens, paper, a few books.
No need to carry folded towels which might hide weapons.
I'm talking elementary school students.
Middle and High schools are a different matter......

I was just reporting what the Today Show aired in their report this morning around 7:20am.
Words matter. A more accurate title would be that she has been found negligent by the court.YES, Words do matter. I just posted what at 7:21am eastern time, the Today Show said, nothing more nothing less. Wasn't trying to be political. I do not belong to any political sites.
This was their headline, not mine.
I went to check the recording and indeed you correctly reflected what was on the screen and what was said. They kept this title glued to the screen.
I apologize for directing my criticism at you. The show choose this sloppy presentation.
The lesson is that NBC should not be relied on for accurate, precise and complete coverage.
@Still Raining Surely you understand that news stories tend to evolve and change with the passing of time.
News outlets are reporting facts about the story that are known at the time. Unfolding stories and info change.
Of course, I am speaking of the reputable, fact based media outlets.

Thank you. I truly and sincerely appreciate your apology & acknowledgement. I really wasn't trying to start any trouble. I'm sorry for sounding snippy. Still friends I hope.🌸

My local paper's headline today on this reads as follows:
Ex-assistant principal charged in Va. school shooting
If I weren't aware of the circumstances and based on the headline; my first thought would be that the principal did the shooting. Maybe this instead:
Ex- assistant principal charged with felony child neglect in Va school shooting.
@cheriere , no harm, no foul.

Thank you so much for your kind words.😊🌸
I just wish some of the other posters who gave me such a hard time would've returned to the thread after watching the show like one poster at least did. Everything I wrote was what they said. Obviously, I'd never deliberately post wrong information lol. That was what they said.

Thank you for stating it so very much better than I did.

Another poster went back and watched the segment the Today Show ran and saw that what I'd written is what they reported. I would never deliberately post wrong or misleading information. If you read the updated thread you'll see I'm telling the truth. I wouldn't want you to think I'm that type of person. I like having you as a friend.💝🌸

I just wanted to let you know another poster in this quote went back and watched the segment I posted about from the Today Show. It was what I said, so they apparently reported incorrectly. I would never deliberately post wrong information. I'm not like that. 💝🌸

This original post was confusing. I do remember hearing abt this horrid incident . Sounds the parents is at fault for not securing her gun properly in a locked case and the Assistant Principal's lack of taking the warning signs seriously all contributed to this needless incident. Hope they charhe all involved parent and Assistant Principal if found guilty.
