Re: Asking People to Self-quarantine?

Then we have employers who will fire employees for taking off work.  I worked for an employer like that and the company even had sick days.  You just couldn't use them unless you were in the hospital or half dead.

Also, many people live pay check to paycheck and taking time off from work will cause them to become homeless. They have no benefits.

Yes, people should think of others, but unfortunately, it isn't always possible to do what you know you should do, but can't.

You make very good points. I think employers who don't let employees take sick time should get in big trouble, coronavirus or not.

Doesn't make it right.  Selfish people  infect other with the flu also.  Maybe less flu deaths if people used common sense.

Okay, so a person can have it, and be contagious, but have no symptoms.

Obvious solution then is for every person in the county to stay home for the next three weeks, so that way, even those who have it but are not showing symptoms, can't spread it.

@Anonymous032819 We would also need to close the borders and not allow anyone into this country regardless of their citizenship.  It's a practical solution, but probably not realistic.

I wish that everyone who was exposed would take this as seriously as these people are.

EXCEPT that this one does not have a vaccine and a way to deal with it.  It is still an unknown in the medical field and it is spreading much more rapidly than other flus!!!!
