For the family visit, lunch or dinner out at a nice restaurant.  For the BF family, I think I'd ask him for an idea or if anyone is allergic to something.  You may not get an opportunity to take them out with BF there.  You and he may go out everyday.  I would bring a gift, cleanup after myself and help with all meal prep/cleanup.
