Re: Article about QVC

I agree with you, @Spurt and @stevieb. QVC's business model is so outdated now that online retailers are so popular with better products, better pricing, better (faster and free) shipping. Who are they kidding with this article?

I'd rather see an article announcing a complete overhaul! QVC needs to jump into the 21st century and offer customers value and better customer service. I resent paying $10 just to try something on! And, sometimes I wait more than a week to receive it. They need to listen to customers and make changes.

@MaggieinFL@Zenyoga

The sad thing is QVC does not seem to be paying attention to customer comments regarding reasons why customers are watching and buying less because their financial reports for last couple quarters were not very good. Instead of reading the Forums, QVC sent out surveys to find out if customers were shopping at Amazon for apparel--since that category took a big hit (but that wasn't the reason)....nope QVC needs to read their feedback and take a good hard look in the mirror to find out the real reason sales are declining...

I thought it was rather amusing when he said we offer products in a relaxed atmosphere.......ha, not w/some of the hosts yelling at you w/their hard sell and unprofessional attitudes!

It generally is NOT relaxing to watch qvc. It is often hyper, loud, obnoxious.

They also don't necessarily show us how to use a product very well. The fake application of beauty products on an already made up face is not helpful.

@HappyDaze

Totally agree---regarding cosmetic/beauty demonstrations....

Also regarding other product lines----you can tell how bad a presentation was when you check out the reviews and customers still have quite a few product questions listed that should have been answered during the presentation!!!! The hosts seem only to care about product colors these days...Download rolleyes 10

@JCF

Why would you?

When you want to start a discussion (thread) about a topic, it helps if posters know what the heck the discussion is about.

If posting a link or copying/pasting some of the info from the article to know what it's about is too much trouble, maybe posting the thread to begin with is too.

Amen, @KingstonsMom! What a confusing post! I hate the cat and mouse games some play with their posts. I mean seriously, why so cryptic when you are the one bringing up the subject?
