She was one of the best.  We dedicated our trx workout to her this morning and played all of her music.  RIP Aretha and sing among the angels!

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I remember many years ago when Pavarotti was scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards but had to cancel at the last minute. Aretha Franklin stepped up and performed Nessum Dorma from Turandot. I was so impressed that she was able to do that on such short notice.

Please forgive me if this has already been mentioned in the thread, but I just heard that she was until very recently involved in the prep for the upcoming biopic on her.  I did not know they were going to film her life, but what a great idea.

 

Jennifer Hudson is to star...
