What a voice and what a woman.  I always thought she should have had more time and more songs in the Blues Brother movie.

I grew up in Michigan. I remember her on Teen Town, a local show based on American Bandstand, in her white go go boots. Her singing was great.

I am fortunate to have seen Aretha perform in a very small venue at an industry awards dinner so she was close enough to reach out and touch!  She was wonderful.

One of the highlights of my youth was singing in a rock band and my signature song was RESPECT.

Thank you, Aretha, for your talent and beauty.  RIP, you will go down in history as one of the greatest singers of all time.

A"Natural Woman" who deserves much "Respect". We should all be grateful for her contribution to the music world and "Think" about making this world a better place. "I Say a little prayer" for her to rest in peace.

I'm only just hearing this now after being out in the morning.  Shocked.  A one-of-a-kind talent and force of nature.  RIP.

Re: Aretha Franklin RIP

[ Edited ]

Loved Aretha Franklin.  She'll always have my Re-re-re-re-re-re-re-respect.

Great songs sung by a great singer. She was part of my teenaged years in music.  May she RIP.
