Re: Are your packages arriving intact?

Yes, my packages from QVC are always in good condition. Sometimes I wonder that they are because there may be a couple of smaller boxes within a big box, where there is plenty of room for crushing during shipment could happen, but I can't complain of any problems.

Re: Are your packages arriving intact?

Yes, I received a taped together box of Home Reflection set of towels.  It was completely destroyed and totally taped together.  The towels inside were perfectly fine  and I couldn't imagine it.  I sent a message to QVC to let them know.  It was just awful to look at.

@LdyBugz Having worked in retail and helped receive shipments, those boxes look like the ones we received inside a master carton. They were designed to contain a specific item and protect it from damage. They are a thinner quality cardboard and should be packed inside another box. They are not sturdy enough for the rigors of shipping.

I've noticed many more of these types of packages arriving lately and I also thought they were not packaged to be shipped without being inside another box.

@tends2dogs  I wouldn't think that FedEx is allowed to access your mailbox.  Good question!

I've had small packages put in my mailbox by FedEx too.  No other shipper (besides USPS) has done this.

I've found with the FedEx here the quality of service depends a lot on the particular driver.  I've also had FedEx boxes dropped in the middle of my driveway, not even brought up to the house/garage.

@geezerette  Seems that they might be trying to cut costs then with subpar packaging and then rolling the dice that the package arrives o.k..

Re: Are your packages arriving intact?

[ Edited ]

My most recent unsatisfactory experiences with QVC shipping have involved earrings (they were costume jewelry).

They had supposedly been "Delivered" but they had not been delivered.  Two different shipments in two different months were involved.  Nor have they ever been delivered in the several months since supposedly being delivered.

My suspicions run to theft, too.  I think someone with access to the packages thought that precious stones and gold or silver were involved in a piece of jewelry.  They opened the packages and found costume jewelry.  LOL    Then, they had the gall to mark the earrings as delivered.

Why do I think this?  Because a credit card offer arrived in my mailbox with the envelope torn open exactly where the credit card had been.  It was crudely taken from the envelope.  Of course, the card was not authorized for use, but the thief was hoping for another outcome, I am sure.

That occurred to me.  Or because production and delivery are so precarious now they're trying to cut down shipping time as much as possible by having more things sent directly from the vendors.

Or both.

I recently got a delivery from Walmart via Fed EX.  I checked the tracking and it said delivered at the front door by Fed EX.  Actually it was crammed into the back of our mailbox.  Is that legal?  Can they utilize your mailbox?  I saw the FedEX truck so I know it wasn't delivered by my mailman.

I had another package show it was delivered to our front door, again by Fed EX.  I never received that package.  Walmart gave me credit, but what a hassle.

The packages that I do receive have been in pretty good shape.

@tends2dogs  I just had the same issue this last week. I ordered several things from Walmart, which included 2 40oz bags of Caribou coffee. Tracking says it was delivered to front door but it’s nowhere to be found. Looks like I’m going to have to let them know, but it’s a pain to deal with.

Yes.
