I recently got a delivery from Walmart via Fed EX.  I checked the tracking and it said delivered at the front door by Fed EX.  Actually it was crammed into the back of our mailbox.  Is that legal?  Can they utilize your mailbox?  I saw the FedEX truck so I know it wasn't delivered by my mailman.

I had another package show it was delivered to our front door, again by Fed EX.  I never received that package.  Walmart gave me credit, but what a hassle.

The packages that I do receive have been in pretty good shape.

@tends2dogs  I just had the same issue this last week. I ordered several things from Walmart, which included 2 40oz bags of Caribou coffee. Tracking says it was delivered to front door but it’s nowhere to be found. Looks like I’m going to have to let them know, but it’s a pain to deal with.

@Teddie   With the few issues I have had with Walmart and not receiving a package, I handled it through their chat system.  It has always been resolved right away.  If the item comes from a different vendor (not Walmart) they put you in contact with them.  The vendor never knows your email or personal info.  Yes it is a hassle, but it is resolved quickly.

When did the delivery drivers stop taking pictures of the packages on your porch?  At least you had proof of delivery and the condition of the package.

Thank you, @tends2dogs .  That’s good to know. I’ll have to handle that probably tomorrow.

Re: Are your packages arriving intact?

I have had a few where a small box is thrown into a larger box without any cushion air bags or  even a snug fit so the box gets crushed and tape rips open. Some of the cardboard at times seemes flimsier? The inside contents were o.k.

Re: Are your packages arriving intact?

The orders I place thru Wal-Mart and Sams Club arrive beat up, barely sealed, and clearly showing they have not been handled with any degree of care.   Last month, FedEx refused to deliver one of my Wal-Mart packages because it was heavily damaged, and leaking.

My orders from QVC, Current, Bath and Body, and Belk, arrive in good shape.
