Re: Are you keeping up with the missing college student in the Dominican Republic?

@Patriot3 from the videos it appears that she was perhaps a little tipsy.  They all had been to different bars drinking.  Conflicting stories about conditions at the hotel.   No electricity.  No AC.  Some people said most people were hanging out by the pool and bars because it was way too hot in the rooms.  My gut tells me she was swept out to sea.  Apparently 4 others drowned at the same beach a few months ago.   Very rough and rogue waves.

Appears like another Natalie Holloway story.

Re: Are you keeping up with the missing college student in the Dominican Republic?

I'm surprise nobody else has mention the Natalee Holloway case from 2005,  which was a very similar scenario. I doubt they'll ever find any sign of this recent disappearance either.

Disappearance of Natalee Holloway

Natalee Holloway, an 18-year-old from Alabama, vanished from Aruba on May 30, 2005, while celebrating her high school graduation. The case became an international media sensation, particularly in the US. Last seen leaving a nightclub with Joran van der Sloot and two other men, all three were arrested in 2005 but released due to insufficient evidence. Van der Sloot, the prime suspect, has confessed to killing Holloway and dumping her body in the sea.

Re: Are you keeping up with the missing college student in the Dominican Republic?

I was always a responsible person, but even so, during my college years, I did some dumb, risky things. I think many would admit the same. It's a wonder we don't have even more youth tragedies.

The setting, the alcohol consumption and lack of looking out for one another created a perfect storm of disaster for this young lady. Not at all uncommon.

Family and friends must be devastated. I hope she's found so they have the closure they will need to move forward.

I can't imagine losing someone I loved and never finding them. It's not looking good, though.

[ Edited ]

Natalie was with Joran but also the Kalpoe brothers were involved.  All three had been arrested several times but released.

Joran's father had influence in Aruba.

This case will never be officially solved.

I believe Natalie's drink was drugged and she either died from a reaction and/or resisted sexual assault. The Kalpoe brothers referred her as dressing and acting like a s*ut. As though they had high morals.

Joran is a deeply disturbed individual, playing games with Beth Holloway and also murdered Stephanie Ramirez in Peru

I don't believe the Holloway case and Sudiksha Konanki's disappearance are the same.

I believe Sudiksha drowned and was most likely alcohol impaired.

I do hope there will not be a rush to judgement for Joshua Ribi.

He was initially interviewed without counsel and an interpreter.

He may have given some inconsistencies but not severe enough to warrant deception as Joran did.

Hungover and scared leads to distorted memory.

This young woman is most likely deceased. I hope her body will be found so her parents can properly bury her.

Not following it real closely. My instinct says foul play, but probably not provable.

I have not seen or heard anything that would lead me to believe the young man caused her death. These young girls need to stick together and not let one go off with a guy on her own.

Plus Sudiksha's bathing suit coverup was found on a beach chair and her sandals by the chair in the sand. This indicates she went for a swim.

No evidence of a crime was found at the scene.

Yes, eerily I thought of Natalie Holloway as we were in Aruba when it all happened.  Nightmare for her family and years to come.  So sad........
