Abraham Lincoln said "most people are about as happy as they want to be."  So true.I try not to make other people responsible for my happiness...too risky.

Yes, I am happy but that doesn't mean life is perfect.  I've been blessed in many ways and I've been nearly knocked off my feet at times, but I've learned to be content in whatever state I'm in because I know it's all temporary and I have much better days waiting for me and eternity to enjoy them.

I had to think about this one for a while.  I guess the best answer is more often than not.  I can't say I am "happy" all the time and every moment of every day.  I can say that I have something inside that always brings me back to it.  I think for me, like someone else already said,  happiness comes with peace and contentment.

I was going to say I am content but it does sound like I am settling in some odd way.

I would say...most of the time...I am happy or at least content.

I may be PO, angry, miserable, but I still consider myself happy at heart. I also am never bored. It is a state of being.

I am happy and feel very lucky (although I worked hard - sometimes two jobs).  I have a nice house in a lovely neighborhood by a lake.  Good neighbors.  I volunteer at a food bank every week.  I love living alone (maybe I am happy and selfish, lol).  I like to garden and love to read.  I go to yoga class.  Today I am going to a movie and out to dinner.  I think some people dwell on the bad things instead of working on changing what they can.

My husband and I are both senior citizens and have been happily married for many years along with raising a family!  No life is without problems that sometimes makes you unhappy but loving each other should bring you through!  We always try and think about all the good things and good times that we have and have had!  One important thing to us is good health and we try not to complain about various health issues that come up!  One thing we try and remind each other to say when these things occur is "Thank you God for only giving me this!"  We can always think of someone who has something worse!  Yes, we are both happy!!Woman HappyMan Happy

Let's see - I was recently able to retire from a job I hated, buy my first new car in 14 years, and move from the noisy, traffic-clogged big city to peaceful, quiet, semi-rural surroundings and pretty much no longer need to worry about anything. Happy? Heck yeah.
