Appearance, lifestyle, social prominence, wealth, etc?

Never!! We all have good and bad in our life. Everyone needs to accept, make the most of and be thankful for what we have that is positive.

Not now, not ever. I have always been happy with my position in life, modest though it may be.
I have never felt a need or desire to compete with others; only with myself.

No, not really. We were taught not to envy others debts - cars, boats, homes. Looking at things that way, we didn't envy.
However, we were taught to admire good examples and good taste/style.

Of course. Isn't everyone sometimes? I don't think it's a problem unless it makes someone resentful, bitter, or unable to think about anything else.
I know if my friend goes on a cruise, I'm thrilled for her, but I'm also envious and wish I could go. I know someone else who gets resentful and mad about people who are shown compassion and get money because they were in a bad situation and it went public or people showed kindness after someone was publically bullied. He gets resentful and bitter because no one ever gave him a bunch of money and he's suffering and he's been bullied and no one ever threw him a party. That's the bad kind of envy. He's always miserable and makes everyone else miserable, then complains because no one likes him.

I envy people who have courage and confidence.I have regrets about other things..such as I miss being a young busy mom.I loved those busy years and wish I could go back.

No, never.
Everyone has their successes and their challenges. You can have a lot of money and material goods and be poor in love and self respect. You can be knock out physically beautiful one day - and then lose it through illness, an accident or natural aging in a heartbeat.
I just strive to do the best that I can do every day. That's all I can control.

A little bit and it surfaces when the massive powerball winnings are announced. Then again, one must buy a ticket if they ever want a chance to win-

The only time that I was "envious" of someone was my best friend when I was in my 20's.
She had such talent to create art, drawings and sculptures, and it came so easily for her.
Then there is me who has trouble drawing a stick figure!*lol*
But envy others for their wealth, etc?
No.
I'm just grateful for what I do have.
