Ever meet someone who is so totally in denial that their way of dealing with negative situations/tragedy is to just paste on a fake, smiley face and pretend all's well?
That rather than acknowledge the situation for what it is, and perhaps deal with the emotions they are feeling, they shove them all to the back, just stuffing them totally, and try to convince others that all's just they way they like it?
I have.
Those people eventually blow. Just like a balloon that someone won't stop filling with hot air.
Then............P-O-P!!!!!!!
Then, that person's just a pile of shattered bits. Two people close to me are now totally shattered pieces of what used to be Pollyannas.
They are now not able to function or cope with anything.
Sad.
