I thought Hotmail was replaced years ago by Outlook.com.

I have both a hotmail acct and an outlook acct.
While reading, I discovered that tech forums advised signing out of your acct, deleting the account (from your device) and downloading it again. This worked for me. HTH

@msvictoria ... I just checked. My hotmail is still the same as it has been. Guess I'll know to expect a change soon!

I'm making a suggestion here regarding the constant pop-ups for installing Windows 10. So far I have managed to avoid it automatically loading. Sooner or later they will stop this aggravating pop-up.
My fix? I don't leave my computer on when I'm not using it. That way it could never load without me seeing it.

Just curious. Since you downloaded Windows 10 and you said that microsoft is getting rid of internet explorer, what do they use in lieu of IE with windows 10? I cannot imagine that MS is endorsing Chrome or foxfire.
@They are using their new Edge Browser and reviews have been mixed on that too...

I gave up using Explorer a couple of years ago, it constantly had issues. I've been using Firefox and don't have any problems.

@LilacTree If you go to the Electronic section of the Forums there is information on an option called GWX Control Panel to stop the forced downloading of Win 10. It's a simple install OR another trick is to DECLINE their subscription agreement and it won't allow the download to activate. If it gets accidently downloaded you have 30 days from that date to uninstall and revert back to your old system, however, some people have experienced problems to revert back to their previous system and they had to call Microsoft for assistance. The time period for free Win 10 could be extended so this forced stuff might go beyond their orignal deadline for the free install of July 29th. Once Microsoft has stopped the free trial they won't force the upgrade on you because you will have to pay for the upgrade to Win 10 and payment will be required first.

And that will never happen because I'm never going to want it!! Thanks for the heads up in your post though, that's good info!!
