Are we preparing our children..

I have no more kids to raise, but since the children of today are our future, I hope they are being prepared. I just read two articles on student loans and have a relative in the same boat. With work as it is, it's miserable for them to try and pay these loans off. I wish more classes at school were about preparing the kids of today for the future. Do you think they are being taught well in today's schools? Is something needed? I just wonder.
