Are we in Antartica?

[ Edited ]

54 this morning! Had to turn on the furnace. On July 9th! WTH? The songbirds have flown south and the pool is full of penguins. (yes, ok, that's an exaggeration - but not the temperature. It's really 54 here in SW Pa. this morning.)

LOL, I wait until it hits 50 to start watering.   Sometimes my hoses are too stiff from the cold.

I always chuckle at peoples' thoughts about the temperature.

I'm in the midwest.  54 in the morning is a comfortable windows open, shorts and tank top, great walking weather.  But today, it'll reach 100 with 75-80% humidity.

Once when I was in Mesa, AZ, the weather man reminded people that they should be sure kids had coats for school the next morning because it would be below 90.  I about fell out of my chair laughing.

But it's all relative to what we're used to.

Sounds Heavenly to me! I hate the heat. Couldn't wait for yesterday to be over. It was only around 80 to 86 degrees but very, very Humid! Yuck!!!! Makes it so uncomfortable even in the house with the a.c. My body  just aches. Something to do with the barometric pressure. Today it's 69 with little humidity here in Central Jersey. Feels great! I can tell the difference when I first wake up even before going outside. Have a great Sunday!😀

This weather is just horrible.  The temps and the rain have taken away what used to be a gorgeous time of year.  Cat Sad

Sounds wonderful to me.  Send these temps to SE Pa.  I don't like heat and humidity.

People who live in the south are such lightweights!  54 cold?  Seriously?  I'd have shorts on and the fans running!  Its 60 here this morning, windows open, fans running, shorts on.  Come live in Indiana in January and February and I'll toughen you up a little.

Our AC unit is not working so we have been suffering thru the heat and humidity  - thank Goodness today the furnace is chugging along like the little engine that could.

Ironically - now it has gotten cool out - they are coming to replace the AC this week. Thankfully, it is on warranty. (ever notice when your paying for service they can schedule it right away but warranty work takes forever to be scheduled?)

It's a little coolish (52) in southwest Michigan this morning, but it feels great to have the windows open and fresh air in the house. It'll make for a beautiful bike ride to church later this morning, and it's supposed to be near 80 this afternoon. Weather will do what it's going to do, and no amount of groaning about it will change it. Too hot, too cold, too sunny, too cloudy, someone is always unhappy.
