I don't mean being moved or locked (there's a symbol or a message stating why) but simply poofed. I was on earlier noticed some threads that interested me but had to go. Now I've returned and can't find them.

Have I entered the Twilight Zone?

That happens occasionally. Last time I noticed was when someone registered to post, then posted an "illeagle" link in multiple forums, trying to draw customers to a new internet business.

I've seen it happen.

Sometimes they're completely gone.

Other times the locked ones move off the first page so it looks like they were deleted but actually they're dropped back among the older threads pages and pages back.

A new poster recently bumped up an old thread in a sub-forum, and I asked mods to lock it from further posting. 

It disappeared instead.

I didn't check, but I imagine it went back to it's spot in 2014.

Sometimes, I swear I think they don't show up on my computer, then I go back later and there they are. Either they aren't showing up, or my mind is way worse than I thought it was.

Yes, it seems lately instead of being locked or marked as Moved with all posts deleted, some are just entirely gone.
