I have to admit that I am not very productive now that I am retired the past 3 years. But I like that! To me retirement is just doing what you want to do on your clock. I do not need "busy".

I'm on every day. I'm not on much at night or the weekends. It depends - if I'm waiting somewhere, I can get in the internet from my phone.

Same here. I've only been retired not quite 9 months, but those years of work took a lot out of me emotionally as well as physically and both my body and my psyche need rest and restoration - and definitely don't feel apologetic about it or that it needs defending.
Parts of me were giving out and there are no "new parts". All that can be done is resting the existing parts, giving them a tune-up and a lube and being aware they'll never be brand-new any more, no matter what anyone else says ;-)
And here's a thought - science is always saying those who are retired and/or aging need to keep their *minds* active - which is something the internet can do to the max.

My son gave me a lap top that is fast as ---- and I hate to say I'm on it off and on every day.

Now that I'm retired, I do as I please. I liked my job, but now If I want to stay up late, I do, and if I sleep in, who cares ? Since I got my IPad , I'm on the Internet more, but I'm not obsessed. Maybe because I love to read, and have as much time as I want on my kindle.

A day without the internet is like a day without having fun. My favorite thing about the internet is window shopping! I love browsing, comparing and just plain looking at stuff. To me it's a fun way to spend my time. I don't do any social sites and I don't own a cell phone, so shopping is where I spend my time on the internet along with taking care of bills and banking. I don't go a day without it. For me it's not wasted time...IT'S FUN TIME!![]()

The iPad appears to have welded itself onto my hand. Periodically I attempt to cut down but that resolve doesn't last for long. I still manage to get groceries into the house and meals onto the table though so I'm good😊
I don't rip through novels like I used to and that annoys me.
It helps me fall asleep easier if I set the iPad aside around 10 or so. Shoo me off if you see me posting past then -- lol.
