@nascarfan I've always been partial to short hair. At the very least I think it's nice to switch up your hairstyle.
I love game night. We try to get together monthly to have a game night. Mahjong is something that I might look into learning... it looks like fun.

@Still Raining I literally giggled at your post. 95% of my shoes are sneakers, majority of which are white. I just bought a pink one.

@Puzzle Piece I'm truly sorry for your loss. Treasure the memories.

@Oznell I figured you as a visual person; I always enjoy your posts and the interesting pictures of decor.

We have a lovely trail right outside of our gated community. Then there's a wildlife marsh trail that's probably goes on for at least 15 miles? A few months ago I saw what I discovered to be a family of Canadian geese crossing the trail path. Although I'm not a huge animal lover, I found it to be one of the sweetest thing.
That's beautiful.
In my group, 5 of us are over age 70. I think we're doing very well. My legs and hips feel all of it sometimes. LOL

Some friends walk early every morning in a nearby cemetery. It's a gorgeous, well maintained cemetery. They have woodsy areas, trees galore, and good roads.
I decided to join them. Holy cow! Faster pace than I'm used to. Minimum 4-5 miles in an hour I get exercise and social activity at the same time. I love it!
We see bucks, doe, coyote, geese in the pond, many kinds of birds, and other animals. One road is named "bluebird lane" because the trees are full of bluebirds.
It's also where my Mom, Dad, brother and BIL are interred so that's nice too.
@CalmInHeart Nice that you're getting out to do your social walk, and maybe visit or at least be by where your mom, dad and BIL are. I've done the same thing actually. The cemetary where my mom, dad, maternal grandparents and other relatives in various areas are, is very much like a big, beautiful park, with hills, grassy areas, beautiful trees, and many winding pathways, with flowers, landscaping...a lovely place to walk and many people do there, which is also nice. It's nice when a cemetery, where your loved ones are, is a thriving, beautiful, park-like place, where "life" still goes on in some way, people visit, and nature grows...rather than a stagnant, "sad" or spooky type place. Enjoy your walks.

Been reading others' posts and maybe the word "rut" is too strong...though I got what you meant by it @Runner26 ...
I'm very ok with some repeated and comfortable routines at this point in life...but still open to trying new things too. Just a balance. That's how I looked at things when I responded. No, I don't at all feel stuck in a rut...have my routines, but still always open to exploring new places, growing, learning...

@Runner26 Thanks. Losing Molly was tough because she was not sick, no symptoms...very sudden.
Curls? Mine are almost long enough to put up...about another inch. My last haircut "just for a trim" ended up taking 3 or more inches off. Bad news for curls in summer.

You said it perfectly. I decided on "rut" for lack of better word to express my thoughts. I'm not the best communicator.
I feel so blessed and content and very fortunate for everything I have every day. The song "Live Like You Were Dyin" lyric expresses my sentiments:

Maybe??? Been busy with getting my new apt in order. I've lived here for going on 8 months now and still finding things to re-do from the big move-in. Sometimes I feel--rutty😉--but most times its just a routine. Am not married into every day being the same as the day before. Am content----maybe???
