Several a day, usually peddling car warranty. Who does business with these shysters???? Not us!

YES! I was down to 2 or 3 a day but the last 3 days have been at least 10 a day. Start at 7am and don't stop till 9pm or longer. Machine takes care of them but it is interesting that all of us here have noticed this increase. What's up I wonder? Thanks for posting so I know it's not just me.

@PickyPicky3 wrote:Absolutely. Fraudulent calls from Norton, Bragg? bill collectors, we want to buy your house, your car warranty has expired, and of course Amazon. Not to mention legitimate calls from my state to get a booster, even though they took my name off their list.
@PickyPicky3 When I got my Vaccine , I put unlisted where the phone number went. I knew they would start that. I don't want anymore so I don't need them bugging me.

@Buffalogal47 I don't answer my cell phone and don't give out the number to most people or businesses. I don't pay a lot to get spam calls and have it ringing all the time or have texts to look at all day.
I don't text except on rare occasions, and most of the time don't know where the phone is. I love it!

As another poster said, they keep calling, but will use different numbers so you will use up all your block space. If I'm near the phone, I will hit "answer" and then the "end" button. Stops the ringing.

I was the one getting "ghost calls". The phone would ring and there would be no one on the line. Just hang up. Ghost calls are computer generated calls. They want to know if someone is home. I think this is actually a job. People are hired to do this. They spend all day using a computer to generate numbers and ending the call. It's used as a pre-emptive strike to call people for robo calls. (telemarketers) I used to get a slew of them, till I got a service to block them. Eventually they stopped, but have slowly started up again. Compared to the ghost calls, I got less actual telemarket called. This is just on my land phone. I rarely get any unwanted calls on my cell phone.

I have been getting at least 2-3 spam calls a day for the past couple of weeks, slightly more than usual. Verizon says potential spam n almost all of them so I block. It only helps until the next day. Also getting state election campaign calls....equally annoying!

Never, ever listen to the spam calls. If you pick up and listen, they know the number is working and you will get even more calls. Make sure to put everyone you know into your contact list. I don't answer unless I recognize the number or the name.
