I'm a birthday bunch group with some friends. Each of us chooses a place to go out to dinner on a Saturday night to celebrate our birthdays. We pay for their meal as a group and give them a small gift, mostly cash. And we also get together for a Christmas party at a restaurant where we bring a gift and we draw numbers to pick one. Other than that, I'm not involved in any other groups or committees.

Absolutely not a joiner.  I like to do my own thing and don't like having to be at a certain place at a certain time.  Did enough of that before retirement.  Really enjoy my freedom.
