I think Meghan's father is a creep.  He was right to be excluded from the wedding.  All he saw were dollar signs and was going to use any way to capitalize on that wedding.

He sold his daughter's private letter to a tabloid. He calls her husband names and supports his other daughter's books about her sister, "princess pushy". His newest gig is a podcast he hosts so he can hate on his own daughter even more. I also hear he plans to attend all the Jubilee events so he can continue to cash in on perpetuating that hatred. He could care less the hate leads to threats and security problems for the family.
Yes, he's real sorry. 🙄

@BoopOMatic   It was widely reported that the rift occurred when he took money from a magazine to pose for a set of photos if him anticipating, and preparing to go to, the wedding. I remember seeing the photos at the time. It was considered a very tacky thing to do and Meghan was embarrassed by it. Her father has apologized for it many times to no avail.

Yes I remember that, I saw the pictures. Didn't make a lot of sense to me at the time....

He so should have done nothing to invade her privacy.  But it is hard for me to condemn the man after reading Andrew Morton's book a couple of years ago.  When she was in school and doing her high school drama/plays ect..  Mr. Markle helped to build the sets, work on the lighting, and even would go buy dinner for the entire cast out of his own pocket.  How many Dads work full time jobs then go volunteer his time at the high school to help his daughter and her classmates.  He had some good qualities but did make some bad decisions.
