Have seen a few of the models in tv commercials. Just the other day I saw beauty model (older lady) Cheryl in a Golden Corral commercial and Stacy in a restaurant com. Have also seen the older, short-haired lady with gray hair on tv as well.

Yes, some of the models are indeed actors.  There have been some in highly rated TV movies as well.  The models do not work for QVC, they work for independently owned modeling agencies. 

By the way, most of the hosts have had acting careers as well:  Rick, Kerstin, Sharon (former host), Alberti, Amy, Shawn, Rachel, Elise, and most of the newly hired hosts.

I also find it interesting when they mention the models other occupations, i.e., two of them are nurses, a professional photographer, one has a PhD, etc.

It's also why so many of them (not all) take the title of TV Shopping Host to their head, and treat each presentation like a reality TV show.  It's just another way to fullfill their desire to be in front of the camera.  The selling is almost incidental sometimes.

I often see QVC models on commercials.  They are local models in the Philadelphia area and that's where I am. Off the top of my head, Deanne, Cheryl, Toni, Stacey, Amy, Amanda.  There are more that I can not think of just now.

Donna , one of the models on HSN is in a lot of commercials.

Rhonda Shear and Helen Keaney also on HSN are comedians/actors.

I love watching them together.

@Caaareful Shopper ... just curious... I know that Rick had some real acting roles but, I was unaware that some of the other hosts did also... in particular I am curious about Amy S ... what acting roles has she had? ... what were the names of the movies she was in?
