Apps — Why Do You Think They Are Pushed and Pushed

Urging us to use the App to shop??? Just a curious question. And I'm not talking just about QVC. Many sites urge to use their app to shop.

@rms1954 I've wondered the same thing, especially since you can't access the boards. It's the last thing I want, I see no advantage.

Merchants in all sectors want our business when we are home or away. I will not use an Android for payment though. I'm pretty sure it's safer with an iphone which I don't own yet. One of my sibs uses their iphone for everything like I use a laptop and has never had a breach.

Using the APP, is their version of "self check out" like at the grocery store. Basically, check yourself out and they dont have to pay someone to do it for you.

That being said, If I know what I want, and how to get it, I usually dont need or want to talk to a customer service person.

Sometimes I prefer it, it definitely is much quicker once youre familiar with the app.

Im sure there are plenty of people who would rather wait on the phonr and talk to someone to place an order.

@PamBeesley You can do everything on QVC.com that you can do on the app plus get to the boards. I place all my order through the website without using the app. I've used Android for years, prefer it over aos and never have a problem. Don't think it has a thing to do with security, that's on the website not the operating system.

i love apps, but not for purchases.

i usually use my laptop for purchasing because i can use my rebate sites to get money back from the websites that i shop. it adds up more than you think!
