Well the season for apples are over now. You can still get bananas imported from the equator. And yes, they're some (probably stale) apples left. Apples that are still sitting around in the winter tastes mealy to me. So I've stopped eating them now. One thing about bananas is that they still taste the same because they are grown year round. So right now I"m enjoying bananas and will be waiting next season for the apples.

Definitely an apple but it has to be a crispy one! I've had too many mushy bananas so I am turned off by them!

@SandySparkles That is exactly what I do! My family requested apple crisp for Thanksgiving. I made 2 large dishes. It was gone in no time. My little grandkids ask for it all the time. 🤗
And I am certain the house was full of smiles; AND full bellies!😉

@SandySparkles The 5 year old just asked me if I could make some more of that "crispy apple stuff" again soon. 😄. Absolutely! The honey crisp apples have been hard to find though....

I like both....I like to freeze Bananas in the Summer...frozen Banana Pops...and I love Apple/Cranberry Crisp during the Fall months.
Like others, I also like to have a little peanut buttter when eating a Banana or Apple.

@SandySparkles 😄. That's funny! Guess they are in high demand...but I won't pay that. When I made my apple crisp for Thanksgiving...our local ALDIs had them for $2.99 per BAG. Yes...I bought 7 bags. I just checked today...and they didn't have any.

Congratulations on scoring 7 bags before the great Honey Crisp apple drought of 2023!!!😁 I hope this is not a sign of things to come for this season, because the skies are already releasing their fury courteous of El Nino with rain and flooding, and the dreary weather makes me want to don an apron, and bake when I have downtime.🤞🤞
Granny Smith's are usually plentiful, so I suppose it will have to be those and another less favorable variety if they become elusive here! Perhaps the EXORBITANT price of the Honey Crisp is the reason we still have them!!😂😂😂
