What do you think?  I'm not wowed by it, but my opinion could be tainted by the fact I'm not a fan of her mother.

The dress has an odd fit on the bustier.  Don't thing it has anything to do with her mom.

I thought that debutante dresses had to be white. I think the dress is pretty. The bow, though, should have been the same color and smaller.

The custom has been, as I recall, that debs wear white gowns. So it's a big no as a debutante gown.

That dress just does not flatter her. Her pose is the only thing that gives it any form.  It looks like a stack of jellyfish.  And that black bow reminds me of the black bar they put across someones eyes in a photo to hide their identity. 

Maybe it looks better in person.

Don't know about the color of debutante's dresses but I do like the color.  The bow though looks out of place.  Would have preferred a sash instead but not a black one.  Or could that be a dark navy bow?  It's better than some dresses I've seen but it's not a favorite.

I did not know that. They must've changed the rules as other girls had black dresses.  Apple is getting backlash for her "mean girl" & entitled behavior after seemingly jumping into another girl's photo op. She was prob just being playful & joking around but it didn't look good for her.
