We were stationed in the Philippines in the late 80's. I have definitely heard the term. Even I know this was not a term to use in anyway shape or form. Especially in marketing in 2024 on a mostly women's channel on Women's Day!

Imagine being such a racist and bigot you would have a problem with diversity, equity and inclusion? That's like saying love, acceptance and justice is bunk.

Who teaches these miscreants to hate?  Who drills these unholy, low life ideas into grown adults?

I never received an email from QVC and had no idea what this is about. After reading some posts, I'm surprised that this thread is still up. There seems to be plenty of arguing going on.

@San Antonio Gal - I didn’t say it was a cause just a consideration. I worked for a large Fortune 100 company & many employees worked from home. Some worked in a different time zone or even other countries & supervision/communication wasn't equal . There are deadlines & maybe no one was available to check the communication before publication? None of us know what happened. Unforeseen things happen & the incident was unfortunate.

It wasn’t intentional imo but a big mistake that offended many & certainly showed a lack of accountability for some reason.

I published many communications & was not required to have anyone review them. I always did for this very reason.
