@biancardi, I agree wholeheartedly about the appointments but IMO it is too for late retirements. There is no way on earth any nominee made by the current administration would be approved and unless there is a change in congressional demographics it will be an extended uphill battle for the next D administration.
There are still 28 federal judicial nominees pending, some since last March.

RM was her usual intelligent, polite, insightful self. She brings the best out in everyone she interviews, IMO....or at least their true nature!
This was an excellent idea...it would be great to see a similar format in the general election...maybe one show with RM and another with someone from FN (Kelly or Greta perhaps?)
I would love to see this format with either Kelly or Greta sitting in Rachel's seat and asking the questions.
I think this is a great way of getting more information from candidates at this stage of the game and then switch back to the normal debate format once the field is narrowed or clearly when the R/D candidates have been selected.

@NevaehsMom58 wrote:Didn't the R's already do a format like this?
@NevaehsMom58 I do not believe I have seen this format for the Republican candidates. I have seen individual interviews but not a forum where people would know ahead of time the particulars (where/when/time/candidates).

I thought I remembered seeing a foum like this for the R's on CNN awhile back.

The only thing I can think of was that CNN hosted a Republican sanctioned debate back in September but it was a regular debate format and not this forum format.

I don't find either very pleasant or agreeable but I hope people who watched got something from the program.
Yes, I did, thank you.
Liked the format too, it didn't allow the candidates to pick and choose, or totally duck out of answering questions.

Hillary's at a Town Hall Meeting in SC on CSPAN right now.

I could have sworn I watched those debates. Funny how differently we can perceive things because what I seem to recall was a whole lot of drama and finger-pointing.
As for information and knowledge leading voters to make wise choices? Well, that may be true for a section of the electorate, regardless of party affiliation, but I'm afraid it is not what primarily motivates voters.

I thought this was still here. I guess we can talk about politics?
